How to Support The MaDee Project Amid Coronavirus
The MaDee Project relies solely on volunteers and donations to fulfill its mission to provide support to pediatric cancer patients and their families in the Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro regions. We are currently helping 14 children and their families, but this can change at any time. The families were helping receive monthly financial assistance to cover any expenses related to the child’s cancer to help alleviate some of the financial burdens the family may be experiencing.
Due to COVID-19, we have had to cancel many fundraising events including a gala, mother-daughter tea, and the Virginia Food Truck Battle. The Food Truck Battle is our largest fundraising event and has consistently brought in $40-50,000 net profit. We are in communication with the Augusta Expo and have reserved the venue for Sunday, September 5, 2021. We look forward to bringing you a reimagined event next year that brings our businesses, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters together to celebrate our community with music, food trucks, business showcases, and more.
Donations: The MaDee Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to the fight against pediatric cancer. Your financial contributions are much appreciated!
MaDee Mo’s Un-Dinner: You are invited to an Un-Dinner to support The MaDee Project and the 22 families we are currently helping in our community. The coronavirus pandemic has caused us to cancel or postpone many of our fundraising events, so we are going back to our roots with one of our first ever fundraisers – the Un-Dinner. For the price, it would cost you to take your family to a fine dining establishment; you can support a family battling pediatric cancer and facing significant medical expenses. Whether you’re joining us for a five-course meal or dropping in for dessert, we appreciate your contribution!
